Georgetown University Law Center, J.D., 2003 Clerkship: Judge John A. Terry, D.C. Court of Appeals, 2003–2004 My clerkship allowed me to hone and develop my legal skills, and also to identify the qualities that will help me become a successful attorney. As a young associate at McDermott, my assignments allow me to put these lessons to work immediately. Just as I advocated a particular rationale to my Judge during my clerkship, now I advise my clients of the best course of action to further their interests. Similarly, just as I wrote bench memoranda to articulately express my analysis of an issue, now I draft letters and white papers to persuade government regulators to adopt my clients’ positions |
