McDermott was my first choice as a summer associate. Not only did they have a premiere national health law practice, but the attorneys I met during my interviews were friendly and engaging. As a summer associate, I had the opportunity to travel to Chicago for the Firm's health law department retreat. This experience not only furthered my professional development through seminars about the latest health law updates, but also gave me an opportunity to meet McDermott attorneys in other offices. Since beginning my full-time career at McDermott, I have been exposed to a wide-range of health law assignments, which include Medicare/Medicaid fraud and abuse, large hospital asset sales transactions, HIPAA, and other regulatory matters (i.e., corporate practice of medicine).
