I feel very lucky to have been a part of McDermott's summer associate program.  From the beginning, it was clear that the Firm was committed to providing a real experience: I have worked on real pro bono and billable projects with attorneys from all levels, and while I was assigned an official mentor at the beginning of the summer, I have developed numerous unofficial mentoring relationships with attorneys for whom I have completed projects or met in the Trial Department or at social events.  I knew that I would be doing cutting-edge and challenging legal work at McDermott before I arrived, but after the summer, I am heartened to also know that I will be working with a dynamic and diverse group of individuals who are just as committed to my professional development as I am.
