London Trainee Solicitors

Since taking on our first trainee in London in 2000, our practice has grown to offer more opportunities each year.  In 2007 and 2008, we took on four trainees; and, for the 2009 intake, we expect to offer at least five trainee positions.

Our position as an international law firm in London ensures that the scope and breadth of work offered to our trainees is varied, often cross-border and of high value.  From an early stage, we expect our trainees to take on significant responsibility and, to ensure success, we provide the support of partners and associates throughout the training contract.  With four six-month seats offered to each trainee in our key practice areas, the opportunity to work with a variety of clients on a wide range of matters and issues is evident from the outset.

The London office of McDermott Will & Emery continues to grow at a pace, and sustained investment in the office reflects its increasing importance to the Firm.  Our lawyers pride themselves on being not just experts in the law, but in the industries and businesses of their clients.  With at least five training contracts on offer in 2009, the opportunities are there for trainees to gain broad legal experience within a dynamic commercially focused environment.
