Diversity
As a Firm, we recognise that our approach to diversity is key to attracting the highest calibre trainees in a very competitive market. As stated in the Firm’s Diversity overview, McDermott is committed to a culture that values and nurtures diversity.
We are committed to maintaining an environment based on meritocracy and inclusiveness, where individuals can develop their full potential, irrespective of race, gender, age, disability, religious belief, political opinion or sexual orientation.
At a Firm-wide level, we have formalised our diversity programme by establishing three diversity committees with each driving different initiatives.
In the London office, broadly 30 percent of our partners and 50 percent of our associates are female. We have a working policy which recognises that associates and partners may need to work more flexibly whilst continuing their commitment to practising law..
