What Are We Looking For?

We are looking to recruit approximately five graduates from any academic discipline to join McDermott’s London office as trainee solicitors in 2010.  Undergraduate candidates must have reached the second year of their law degree or the final year of a non-law degree to be eligible to apply for a training contract in 2010.

We recruit both law and non-law graduates, and because we have deliberately so few trainees you receive significantly more partner access and supervision than you would at many other firms.  We are looking for candidates with a strong academic background (2:1 or above) and require good A-Levels, at least one A-Grade and 2 B-Grades, excluding General Studies or their equivalent, common sense and initiative.
