Job Description:

The New York and Washington, D.C. offices of McDermott, Will & Schulte seek a 3rd – 5th year Associate with a Project Finance background to join its Energy Advisory group.

Our 40+ lawyer renewable energy team is routinely selected by global market leaders to create innovative structures, to mitigate risk and to create business opportunities in a complex and dynamic energy sector. We represent leading project sponsors and developers, private equity funds, tax equity investors, financial institutions, independent power producers, regulated utilities, corporate power purchasers and equipment manufacturers along the entire arc of project development, construction, operation, finance and acquisition.

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of project finance project finance transactions involving sponsors, investors, developers, and/or lenders, with a focus on renewable power and energy transition
  • Capable of taking on significant responsibility for drafting primary deal documents (including purchase and sale agreements, investment agreements (including tax equity), financing agreements and joint venture agreements
  • Team-oriented with strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working effectively within a deadline-driven environment is required
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Must be admitted to practice in NY or Washington, D.C.

Expected Pay Range for Associates: 2025/2024 Class Compensation Years: $225,000

2023 Class Compensation Years: $235,000

                                                           2022 Class Compensation Years: $260,000

                                                           2021 Class Compensation Years: $310,000

                                                           2020 Class Compensation Years: $365,000

                                                           2019 Class Compensation Years: $390,000

                                                           2018 Class Compensation Years: $420,000

                                                           2017 and more senior class compensation years: $435,000
