Executive Assistant

McDermott+Consulting (McDermottPlus) is a Washington DC-based healthcare consulting and data analytics firm, serving a wide range of clients including life science companies, health systems, physician groups, health plans, and other healthcare clients. The candidate selected as Executive Assistant will support clients and consultants with ongoing market access support as our clients’ needs expand in a changing environment that includes payment reform, measuring quality of care, and achieving cost efficiencies in care delivery.

The Executive Assistant provides advanced administrative support to senior team members within McDermott+Consulting (McDermottPlus). This position will also provide some secretary support for assigned consultants within McDermottPlus. At times, the Executive Assistant will work with the operations team to provide comprehensive support to the McDermottPlus practice.

As an Executive Assistant, you will: 

  • Prepare, edit, proofread, and redline documents and correspondence for accuracy, grammar, and formatting
  • Organize and maintain contacts and calendars, including travel logistics and scheduling
  • Support client-based activities which may include client facing interactions 
  • Assist with presentation materials and preparing PowerPoint presentations
  • Coordinate meeting logistics for consultants, including scheduling, arranging videoconferences, conferences calls, and conference rooms
  • Arrange for expense advancement, reimbursement, and invoice payments
  • Organize and maintain paper and electronic files in accordance with Firm records retention policies

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • At least five (5) years of related work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong motivational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
