Position Summary:

We are looking for a new HR Services Assistant to support our global Human Resources department with end-to-end employee lifecycle data entry and administrative support. This position is a great opportunity for someone looking to learn about the different functional areas within the HR field and how those teams work together in a Big Law environment. As an HR Services Assistant, your primary responsibility would be to support our HR Managers, Recruiting teams, and HRIS Analysts by ensuring we have complete and accurate data in our HR systems. This position is one of two HR Services Assistants who report to our global HR Services Manager and is part of our broader HR Operations and Technology team.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor inbound HR requests and questions and provide prompt and accurate responses to attorneys and staff
  • Complete data entry for new hires, changes, and terminations in the Firm’s HRIS
  • Perform ongoing audits of HRIS data to ensure accuracy of attorney and staff profiles in accordance with standard operating procedures and data management practices
  • Maintain electronic personnel files and ensure that all HR onboarding, off-boarding, and talent documents are electronically filed in attorney and staff profiles
  • Collaborate with assigned functions to understand and support their annual processes and core business processes
  • Answer employee questions related to time off requests, vacation and sick balances, and timesheet entries
  • Update and post HR reference documents and supporting materials

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
  • Ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly
