Job Description:

We are seeking a Restructuring Associate to represent debtors, official creditors committees, lenders, asset purchasers, and other constituents in connection with in-court and out-of-court restructurings and litigation, including cross-border matters. This position is open to candidates in our NY and Chicago offices only.

Job Requirements:

  1. 2 to 4 years of experience with in-court and out-of-court restructurings, including chapter 11 proceedings
  2. Must be admitted to the jurisdiction for which you are applying

As an Associate, you will:

  1. Present and argue contested matters in court
  2. Participate meaningfully in client communications
  3. Draft pleadings, including first-day motions
  4. Draft plans of reorganization and all documents relating to confirmation
  5. Assist in the sale or purchase of distressed assets
  6. Manage orderly liquidations
  7. Conduct claims reconciliation and objection processes
  8. Participate in negotiation settlements
  9. Participate in negotiations with official committees of unsecured creditors, banks and other parties-in-interest

 

Expected Pay Range for Associates: 2024/2023 Class Compensation Years: $225,000

                                                           2022 Class Compensation Years: $235,000

                                                           2021 Class Compensation Years: $260,000

                                                           2020 Class Compensation Years: $310,000

                                                           2019 Class Compensation Years: $365,000

                                                           2018 Class Compensation Years: $390,000

                                                           2017 Class Compensation Years: $420,000

                                                           2016 and more senior class compensation years: $435,000
