Job Description:

The Washington, D.C. McDermott, Will & Emery seeks a 3rd 6th year Associate to join its Energy Advisory group.

 

McDermott advises industry-leading clients on some of the largest, highest-profile and most complex renewable energy project financing transactions around the globe. Our 40+ lawyer renewable energy team is routinely selected by global market leaders to create innovative structures, to mitigate risk and to create business opportunities in a complex and dynamic energy sector. We represent leading project sponsors and developers, private equity funds, tax equity investors, financial institutions, independent power producers, regulated utilities, corporate power purchasers and equipment manufacturers along the entire arc of project development, construction, operation, finance and acquisition.

Job Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience preferably in renewables/electric power area
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working effectively within a deadline-driven environment is required
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Must be admitted to practice, or eligible to waive in to District of Columbia bar. 

Expected Pay Range for Associates: 2023/2022 Class Compensation Years: $215,000

                                                           2021 Class Compensation Years: $225,000

                                                           2020 Class Compensation Years: $250,000

                                                           2019 Class Compensation Years: $295,000

                                                           2018 Class Compensation Years: $345,000

                                                           2017 Class Compensation Years: $370,000

                                                           2016 Class Compensation Years: $400,000

                                                      2015 and more senior class compensation years: $415,000
