Why did you choose to summer at McDermott?

I chose to summer at McDermott because the firm offered me the flexibility to carve my own path when it comes to the type of corporate transactional work I want to practice, thanks to the broad array of sub-groups that fall under the Corporate Advisory umbrella and the firm’s free market assignment system.

Can you describe an interesting assignment you worked on during your summer?

During the summer, I worked with the Technology group to review the confidentiality and data privacy terms in various types of commercial pharmacy agreements to flag restrictions on the client’s use of de-identified health data. I absolutely loved it!

What was something you learned about McDermott that was surprising?

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that McDermott encourages cross-office collaboration, so I’ll get the chance to learn from and work with great people on cool assignments no matter what office they’re located in!

What was the biggest highlight of your summer at McDermott?

The biggest highlight of my summer at McDermott was the people—from my fellow summers to the associates, partners, and professional staff, everyone was incredibly welcoming, down-to-earth, and invested in my future success!
